Veneers
Porcelain Veneers can be used to change the shape, colour or position of teeth, creating a more attractive smile. Porcelain Veneers are thin layers of porcelain that are crafted by the dentist and a technician to cover the front or the full surface of a tooth to change the shape and colour of a tooth or an entire smile.
Porcelain Veneers are incredibly durable and offer a way to get the smile you want no matter what your starting point.
People often think veneers can look 'Hollywood', fake or unnatural, but the best veneers are those that you cannot see - the ones that make the person look younger and more attractive without drawing attention to the dentistry that has been carried out.
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic bonding is minimally invasive and can usually be carried out without any injections. The procedure involves a composite (a tooth-coloured material) being applied to the tooth. It can be used to repair a chipped tooth, replace an old filling or reshape teeth. It is available in many shades to ensure seamless natural restorations.
Usually, the tooth surface is slightly roughened to ensure a high strength bond. The composite material is perfectly shaped and set in place. The restoration is adjusted and polished with various pastes and finishing instruments to ensure a high gloss to match natural teeth.
Benefits of composite bonding:
- There is usually little to no removal of healthy tooth structure
- Great results can be obtained in just one appointment.
- Composite restorations are not as expensive as porcelain restorations and much easier to repair in the future.
- Costs and length of appointments depend on complexity of the case, but can start from only £100 per tooth!
So if composite bonding sounds like it may be for you, please call us today to schedule a consultation and see if we can help you on your way to a happy, healthy smile.
